Get what you pay for, April 19, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Zamberlan Men's 1030 Sella NW GT RR Hiking Boot (Apparel) Yup, these are $520 boots. You will notice this when you take them out of the box. Nothing cheap about them. They are ridiculously comfortable, and look like they'll last an age. These can also easily be resoled when the sole wears out. My local shoe repair shop quoted me $75 to put new soles on them. That's a whole lot cheaper than a new pair of boots.
Buy these boots, own them the rest of your life.

There is no break in period. Arch support is unmathched for going over uneven surfaces. I liked the boot so much that I bought a second pair. Given the cost of the 1030s that is saying something.

We did the usual Eastern Sierra hike last spring and not to far into it we hit all this late spring snow and running water everywhere and the boots quickly became my best friends.
Be ready for lots of compliments and be sure to check out the beautiful soft leather work on the inside of the boot.
