Function and Comfort, June 8, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Men's Wolverine® Wolverine Compressor™ Steel-Toe 8" Boot (Apparel) HOLY SMOKES!!! These boots are awesome!!!
I was reluctant to buy them at first because they were not only pricey, but I have never had a pair of boots that served a function and were comfortable all at the same time.
Well sir/ma'am, let me tell you that you get what you pay for with these babies.
I can do no better than explain it in the exact same way I did to a friend shortly after I got them...An asteroid can hit the Earth tomorrow, and the only two things that will remain will be my Wolverine Compressor boots, and my feet comfortably inside...toes happily a-wigglin (You're welcome for the commerical concept Wolverine!!! ;) )

-The sole is very forgiving! The dual stage rubber work great with the movement of your foot and the "Compressor" part of the boot is GREAT! Simply put it is small chambers in the foot bed of the boot, that compress with each step and rebound to make walking easier. BUT one of the small chambers cracked and made an odd "click" sound while walking.
-The boot liner is very comfortable. The... Read more
