Took a couple of days..., July 30, 2009 By This review is from: Stacy Adams Men's Madison Cap-Toe Spat Boot (Apparel) ...but they grew on me. When I first took them out of the box and put them on I was tempted to put them right back in a send them back. I am glad I gave them a chance. Admittedly they are not the most comfortable shoe, there is no padding or cushioning in the sole at all, and the leather is quite stiff right out of the box, but a little break-in made them much more comfortable. I have gotten many compliments and positive feedback on the look of the shoe. They are quite formal, but add a little something to business-casual as well. No an everyday shoe, but an interesting addition to a wardrobe for a little extra something. A little more comfortable and I would give them a 4 or 5.

Beautiful Shoe, December 6, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Stacy Adams Men's Madison Cap-Toe Spat Boot (Apparel) I really do love this shoe. It's fancy, and it's surprising comfortable especially with some padded in soles.
I usually wear an 11 in converse(which is like a 12 in reg shoe size), and a 11.5 and 12 in this shoe were both too big for me. So be aware of that. :)

It was almost impossible to find this color even at the Stacy Adams headquaters and when I came upon this available pair, I hastened to purchase and finalize the order!! Now I have several pair of spats and more of the Madison styles even a host of Stacy Adams products inclusively. You did it again Amazon and thank you SO much!!!! A GENTLY touch!!!!
