Danner Makes a great product, January 2, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Danner Men's Corvallis GTX 5" PT Boot (Apparel) Most boots I wear I usually throw out within 6months. I have been wearing these boots for the past year. I am on my feet at my job 8 hours a day, mostly doing landscaping on a commercial level. The only time I don't were these boots is for the 2 or 3 months out of the year that it gets cold in the North East, and during that time I wear Danner boots with 600gram which do the job. Danner boots tend to be a little more expensive than others, but the fact that most of them are made in the US and that they hold up for as long as they do I would never switch to any other boot.

I'm harder on boots than your average weekend hikers. I was a bit leery of the price but previous pairs of cheaper boots have fallen apart on me relatively quickly and I'm aware of Danner's good reputation for military boots. I spent the money and am glad I did. After a month they look great, have kept my feet dry, warm in the cold, not hot in the heat, and are comfortable to wear.
Thinking they'll do me well.
