Comfy Boots., December 2, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Magnum Men's Viper II 8" SZ Boot (Apparel) I had an older model of these boots so I knew which size to get. This newer model solves the issues with my ankle pulling the zipper apart after a lot of use due to the curve of the zipper.
I noticed that they tried to make it water tight by adding a piece of material to the inside of the zipper. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars is that they don't open as wide because of it. I have a wider foot so it makes it harder to open it up enough to get my foot in as easy. I suspect that I will find it easier wearing them in over time to my feet.
Other than that the gel in the heal make these Very comfy.

The material under the zipper that helps keep the boot semi water resistant looks a bit to thin, but its still holding after about a month of hard use..

The very best boots you will ever own!, December 2, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Magnum Men's Viper II 8" SZ Boot (Apparel) After 10 years, i finally threw away my old boots (nasty and stinky). The old boots were of course Magnums as well. They did NOT wear out. They just smelled. We had them issued to us in the navspecwar unit in 2002. The very best boots I've ever owned, and I finally got another pair. Amazon has them for a great price. When I'm not in the mud with them, i use them as slippers. That's how comfortable they are. Course....wife says I have to wear socks with this pair, so they don't stink...lol. It hard to express how much I enjoy these boots. Ok, I was corrected. They did start coming apart at the bottom seams (AFTER 10 YEARS OF USE)....um, giving them a pass on that one...lol. Anyother boot doesn't last me but 6 months to a year.
