These are the Best Boots for the Field and Urban Patrol, November 8, 2011 By This review is from: Danner Men's Striker Ii 45 Uniform Boot (Apparel) There are many boots on the market; however, these boots are the BEST! These are the undesputed champions.
Pros:
They are very durable and very light.
They are stable meaning that the risk of rolling your ankle is slim to nill. This makes these boot excellent for uneven terrain. (perfect for Ranch Hands, Farmers, Border Patrol Agents, etc.
They are extremely waterproof. You might want to purchase the 8 inch ones if you want the full waterproofing. The eight inchers are just as light and durable.
The tennis shoe feel of the shoe makes them easier to break in and easier to run in.
The fit to size. There is no guess work regarding sizing.
Cons:
The only con I can think of is the price, but if you do spend the $150 for them you will not be disappointed.
I recommend that all law enforcement and security invest in a pair of these boot. Once you try them on, you will fall in love.

Killed my feet. Are these really Danners?, February 26, 2012 By This review is from: Danner Men's Striker Ii 45 Uniform Boot (Apparel) I have worn Danner GTX EMS boots and they always fit like a glove. Thought I would get a quarter boot for the short shift so I ordered these. If I hadn't been accustomed to the quality of Danner I may have thought not much about these, but they fit like the cruel shoes Steve Martin joked about in the 70's. THe width isn't near as wide as the other boots, and caused my feet to cramp. Wore them for a solid 3 weeks thinking they would break in...they don't. No arch support whatsoever.
If you love your Danners, do not buy these!

Awesome Boots, October 30, 2011 This review is from: Danner Men's Striker Ii 45 Uniform Boot (Apparel) Sure these boots were made in china, but what isn't and also china makes some really great products like these boots. These are top of the line quality boots, the features that are great are: They are very comfortable for as much hiking up or down hills or regular walking around you would ever want with no soreness "anywhere" what so ever, they are very light weight like a running shoe, unlike many other boots that are to heavy, so you can walk further without tiring out your leg muscles as quickly, they are completely water resistant GORE-TEX so it keeps your feet dry and very comfy, so go ahead and walk through that mud puddle without worrying about getting wet socks or athletes feet from fungus growth. The rubber sole bends nicely with your steps and bends perfectly if you drop down to one or both knees, so they're very comfortable walking around and kneeling down in, they are very easy to put on and take off so they are great in cold weather where easy on and off really counts,...
