Awesome boots, February 27, 2009 This review is from: Chippewa Men's 11" Engineer Boot (Apparel) When I opened the parcel and saw the boots the first time, I was just thinking 'wow', what great looking boots. And then holding them in my hands, feeling this soft and well made thick leather. Turning then the boots around, looking at the stitching, the sole ... fine pieces of handmade manufactured quality ... and then the scent of this fine leather ... aaaah! :-)
And of course the most important. Was putting the boots on and they're fitting like gloves and feel unbelievable comfortable. These boots are giving me the good feeling of having invested my money for a real quality product, something you get real value for what you paid.
Awesome boots, I love 'em. Chippewa rocks!

Size 5.5 Chippewa 11" engineer boot, March 2, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Chippewa Men's 11" Engineer Boot (Apparel) I normally wear a womens size 7 or mens size 5 shoe/boot. I have a wide foot and instep. I purchased the chippewa 11" engineer boot in size 5.5 EE. They fit my foot perfect with a thick sock or with an insert and a thin sock. The heel does slide up and down, but I think that's the nature of a pull on boot with no elastic or laces. It would have been nice to have a Chippewa shoe/boot specific size chart. My calf is muscular and the top of the boot gives enough for a comfortable fit. The construction looks and feels solid. Supposedly you can resole these boots which is why I choose them over other brands plus they aren't too heavy or too expensive.
